Art direction and design of the official catalog for the international art festival “Aichi 2022,” held from July 30 to October 10, 2022. The book contains more than 600 pages of photographs, commentaries, and essays by each curator for all 100 participating Aichi 2022 artists.
The text is printed on soft, lightweight paper with good printability, and the cover is made of single-sided coated cardboard, with the spine continuously stamped at 3mm intervals. Although the book has many pages and is extremely thick, the design was aimed at making it a light book with an easy opening, so that it can be read without stress.
In addition, in keeping with the style of the Art Festival, which introduced a diverse range of artists and groups from Japan and abroad, a total of 20 different covers were created using photographs of works from a variety of fields.
