This catalog was published in conjunction with the exhibition at The Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art. Twombly, an American artist known for his distinctive scribble-like style, drew inspiration from Greek and Roman mythology as well as classical literature, producing a series of poetic works that have left a profound mark on 21st-century art.
The format of the book follows the proportions of the Polaroid photographs Twombly used, while the main body pages are printed on yellow-toned paper that harmonizes with his works. The cover cloth, carefully chosen for its color and texture, echoes the photograph of the main visual. Every detail of the book has been meticulously designed to resonate with Twombly’s artistic sensibility.
