A collection of photographs by Kisei Kobayashi, a journalist and photographer. The book contains scenes from about 40 festivals, ranging from widely recognized celebrations to obscure and enigmatic local festivals.

Uncoated paper with a rough texture is used for the book’s pages to complement the artist’s raw and dynamic style.

On-demand printing is used to enable the photographs to have strong blacks and high color saturation, reproducing the unique light of the strange festival that shines at night.
