This is the first issue of the zine “Chic,” published in conjunction with the group exhibition “Youth” at Yutaka Kikutake Gallery. It contains episodes on the theme of “Youth” by various authors, featuring Yoshitomo Nara’s first short story, as well as essays and narratives by exhibiting artists. 

At first glance, this book appears to be a simple B5-sized saddle-stitched booklet. However, opening the center of the binding and flipping the pages upward from the bottom edge reveals a new B4-sized spread. By slightly offsetting the folds, the design allows access to pages that remain hidden in the B5 format.
