An exhibition of Thomas Ruff, who has been a leader in contemporary photographic expression since the 1990s as the “Becher school” learned from Bernd and Hilla becher.
This exhibition introduces his early days to the latest works release for the first time. It was held at two locations, the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. We are in charge of materials for public relations, venue signs, catalogue and goods. Based on Ruff’s masterpiece portrait as the basis of VI, the poster is produced in a size of the work, following the expression that overturned the concept of photography with huge scale. And to unite with the concept which expands the preconceived notions, the text information also protrudes from the front side and straddles the back side.
Regarding PR materials, we do not use public bulletin boards, but ask people who live in shops and shopping districts to cooperate. By having them paste their favorite ones from various visuals and sizes as they like so that the visuals will be blended into the city.
