TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR (TABF) is the first book fair in Japan specializing in art publishing started in 2009.

Once a year, artists who publish unique art books, catalogues, artist books, ZINE, etc., as well as domestic and foreign publishers and gallery gather.

In 2019, Tanaka was in charge of V.I. planning at TABF, which was held for the first time at the museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo and was visited by more than 35,000 people in four days. For public facility, museum, Tanaka has adopted a protection net for construction site as a material which can be easily removed from the support of existing signs and can make a large area at low cost, and by painting letters on the net, it functions as a sign. From the gaps in the net, visitors could see the exhibition posters and the signs of the museum that were being held at that time, aiming for an appearance suitable for a shor-term Fair sign, like jacking the place temporarily.

In PR materials and website, the pattern of the actual net size used in the sign is adopted. By fixing the size of mesh from the sign to the PR materials, the whole visual can be seen as a color surface when the large surface is viewed from a distance, but the printing materials is viewed from a close distance, the mesh is linear. It is designed so that the relationship between elements and letters stands out.
